Zumiez

Zumiez is a mall-based, apparel store. It was founded by Tom Campion in 1978. The first Zumiez store is in Seattle, Washington and was named Above the belt. Zumiez sells clothing and gear for skating, surfing, and snowboarding. As of right now there are about 389 stores in over 25 states throughout the U.S.

    Even though your powerpoint did not work at first i liked your powerpoint. You gave all the information needed and gave me enough time to take notes. I was surprised to see their assets are only about 500,000 they seem like they would be more

Mr. Sawtelo first of all let me tell you I am a huge fan of your presentations, secondly I would like to say that my favorite part of the entire presentation was at the beginning-You know the part. The one thing that was unfathomable was that the expenses of Zumiez was almost as much as there revenue.

  4. Hey Sotelo, your presentation was wicked extreme. I was rather surprised to see that their 4 quarter profits rose by 70%, that's a rather big jump. I had thought the skating trend has been a bit on the decline since the 90's, however, it may actually be coming back. At the same time, though, retail on the whole seems to be going down. For that reason, I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to investing in retail. I think there are better investments at $27 a share.
